My education includes a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in English from CSUS, Leadership Auburn Class of 2007, as well as many years sharing an office with Harvey Roper. As for accomplishments, I count my children, many years of serving on boards and committees in our community, a handful of completed marathons, and making my dream of owning Roper\u2019s Jewelers come true with the help of the best business partner I could ever ask for.<\/span><\/p>\n

I started working at Roper\u2019s Jewelers in the spring of 1994. Back then, I had no idea that this is the life I would have the privilege to lead.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

A<\/span>s for my own favorite piece of jewelry, it\u2019s tough to choose. I\u2019m very sentimental, so my favorite pieces tug at my heart strings. I love my wedding set, from the plain gold band we were married with, to the beautiful diamond band that was a 20<\/span>th<\/span> anniversary addition. I also love my diamond PS pendant: they\u2019re my initials, and the pendant was gifted to me at a difficult time in my life. It reminds be to be grounded in myself, and to stay strong, no matter the challenge.<\/span><\/p>\n

My favorite thing about the jewelry industry is the sentiment that is attached to jewelry. It\u2019s so much more than the sum of the metals and stones: it\u2019s the feeling that the jewelry evokes.<\/span><\/p>\n

My favorite gemstones are tourmaline (I love all of the different colors it can be). I also love spice zircon and imperial topaz.<\/span><\/p>\n

When I was young I wanted to be a teacher, then a lawyer, always a mom, then I found the world of jewelry, and my fate was sealed.<\/span><\/p>\n

What makes me smile? My children, tackling a challenge, a great meal, an unplanned but somehow perfect adventure with my husband.<\/span><\/p>\n

My ideal weekend day always starts with a cup of coffee and some quiet time to read. After that, the options are endless. If the rest of the day involves my family, food and Prosecco, then that sounds pretty ideal to me.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
