One of my greatest accomplishments is my family. I am lucky enough to be married to my best friend and to have our children and grandchildren close by. Another great accomplishment in my life is my relationship with my business partner. I enjoy what I do every day because she is by my side.
I started my journey with Roper’s Jewelers in June of 1989.
My favorite piece of jewelry is a yellow gold bangle bracelet. The bracelet was handmade thirty years ago. The jewelers who made the bracelet engraved the inside: May all your dreams come true. Every time I wear this bracelet it makes me smile and this is how my love affair with bracelets started.
One of my favorite things about the jewelry industry is the joys we get to celebrate. We celebrate engagements, births, holidays and one of my favorites: just because. We are also entrusted with the repairs of many jewelry items. We get to hear the stories of the jewelry and of those who have loved them.
My heart belongs to the gemstone tanzanite. The blue violet color is breathtakingly beautiful.
When I was young I wanted to be a nurse. Unfortunately, I’m not fond of the sight of blood.
What makes me smile is traveling. I love to experience unfamiliar places and the joy of planning an adventure. I also really enjoy hearing about other people’s travels.
The ideal weekend would be having my family come to our house. We would spend the day swimming, laughing and sharing our favorite meals.
